Current Opportunities for Volunteerism
Greenhouse: Work alongside clients completing greenhouse projects; assist with maintenance and projects related to our greenhouse.
Maintenance: Assist with garden and yard upkeep, painting, minor repairs, light cleaning, and various carpentry projects.

Essentially, volunteer commitment is determined by the individual, group or organization.
Depending on which department you volunteer in that will determine the time commitment for volunteers. When you are applying to volunteer online, you will be able to select the “on-going” or “one time” volunteer option.

Times and dates depend on our department needs. Our goal is to make volunteering easy for everyone to fit into their busy schedules. We offer projects with varying commitment levels you can select while filling out the online application. You can volunteer as much or as little as you like based on your availability and interests.

We accept volunteers 16 years or older. However, if you are a parent wanting to volunteer on a weekend with your child, you may.

Please fill out the correlating application to your inquiry. However, please contact us after you fill out an application and wish to have your child to accompany you while volunteering.

Volunteers are encouraged to dress in casual, comfortable clothing, and in clothes that you will be okay with working outdoors in. No-open-toed shoes are allowed. Volunteers must wear their volunteer name tags with their first name clearly printed. Volunteers must wear a volunteer vest, provided at orientation if they are volunteering on-site

Yes, A New Leaf provides a mandatory orientation on the first and last Saturday of every month for your convenience. The orientation will include information about our organization as well as department specific training, and training on volunteering with our clients.

The difference is the different types of departments that you may be working in. If you are just wanting to volunteer (one or two people), please select the individual option and fill the application out accordingly. If you are a group of people three or larger, please fill out the group application accordingly. If you are an organization (such as a business, non profit, or any other organization) and wish to volunteer, please fill the application out accordingly.

Orientation will take place at our Broken Arrow location: 2306 S 1st Pl, Broken Arrow, OK 74012.

Once you apply you will be able to sign-up for our orientation. Our volunteer department will send you an email once your background check has cleared with a link to the Orientation sign-up calendar. Once you select a Saturday date and time slot, you will receive an email confirming your sign up.

We offer two orientations every month; at the beginning of the month from 10:00am to 12:00pm, and at the end of the month from 12:00pm-2:00pm

We ask you to please leave the children/grandchildren at home while volunteering with us.

Our Volunteer Coordinators will process your application along with your background check. You will receive an email after you apply, letting you know of this process. Once the background check is completed, you will receive an email from us letting you know how to schedule your Volunteer Orientation.

Photos are encouraged during service shifts, while being respectful of your shift leader and fellow volunteers and clients. We encourage volunteers to share photos online. Please tag us, we would love to see!
